The best way to originate a mortgage loan | Mortgage Sales Manager

In this video, Dave King of Mortgage Sales Manager addresses a common pitfall that happens to many loan officers: originating a number of loans, spending too much involved in the processing, and overlooking the origination. It's easy for loan officers to get stuck in these up and down cycles. But the solution is extremely simple: avoid the processing and focus only originating correctly. When the origination process is started in the right way, processing will take care of itself. This starts at the very beginning with every single pre approval. It's best to treat every pre approval as if it were a brand new loan because there's a very good chance that it will. When you address everything from the get-go and you have complete application and documentation paperwork, once there's a contract in, it's relatively easy to get it to processing in less than an hour. There's no need to lose any time. If you come across any issues, address them immediately especially if you're in the pre approval stage. Passing issues on to loan processors won't result in the issues going away. It's best to tackles these issues head on so that they don't cause more problems, stall the origination process, or waste your time. In addition, it's best to ensure that your processor has all the information they need. Don't ask them to figure things out on their own. Make sure there are plenty of notes in the file that address unique situations or other issues. Starting the entire origination process correctly ensures that it will be as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
